Brighton Carnival 2008 & 2009Fantastic. Brilliant. Amazing. Just some of the words used by people watching the Brighton School of Samba at Brighton Carnival 2008... Almost 70 individuals took part with the School on parade in a flurry of blue, white and gold, feathers, sequins, drumsticks and blistering batucada, and as the sun began to go down on Madeira Drive, the Brighton School of Samba were crowned 'Best Large Band' at Carnival 2008 & 2009 in the Carnival awards ceremony, a proud achievement for the School in their first two Carnival parades.
