Samba Classes

The Brighton School of Samba runs weekly samba drumming and dance classes and our all-inclusive, open-door policy means we welcome people of all ages, backgrounds abilities.

We offer dedicated sessions for absolute beginners in both bateria (drumming) and dance, and provide all instruments and tuition. We also run occasional workshops with professionals and samba instructors from Brasil and the wider UK samba scene and try to bring authenticity and the highest standards to our samba and performances.

Our friendly group allows new faces to feel at home quickly – learning and performing with BSS is not about virtuosity and the individual, but about inclusivity and the whole. There are few other such inspiring and energising activities than being one part of a 40+ group all performing together!

Membership

We offer optional membership at BSS, which gains you benefits of reduced fees for classes, costumes and access to our Facebook Members group. Annual membership is just £25 in May each year, with reductions if you join during the current year.
